Peter Chadwick Peter's Bio
 

As a conservationist, Peter Chadwick has worked throughout southern Africa in some of its most special wild areas, from the Kalagadi Desert to the sub-antarctic Marion Island, from the Kruger National Park through to the Drakensberg Mountains and Fynbos and Marine Protected Areas of the southern Cape.

He currently works for WWF South Africa as the Manager of the WWF Honda Marine Parks Programme. He has gained vast experience in all aspects of conservation management in desert, savannah, grassland, karoo, mountain, fynbos and marine and island ecosystems. His special interests are in developing management strategies for rare and endangered species. He is regularly consulted upon for advice pertaining to marine conservation in South Africa and within the broader sub-region.

Peter’s photography is a natural extension to his work where he has numerous opportunities to capture the beauty and complexity of the outdoors. His photography is internationally recognised, with his work appearing worldwide in a wide range of print media. In 1994 he was the winner of the British Gas Wildlife Photographer of the Year – Eric Hosking Award.
